The Friends of Deer Hollow Farm Board History

Friends of Deer Hollow Farm (FODHF) was established as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization to raise funds and alleviate some of the City’s costs. This support proved crucial in 2010 when budget issues once again threatened farm funding.

Currently, FODHF provides funding for:

  • 100% of funding for animal care and feed

  • Scholarships for half of the 5,000 students from across the Bay Area who participate in environmental education field trips at the farm

  • Farm enhancement projects recommended by staff

  • Various farm operations

FODHF primarily raises funds through individual donations, grants from local governments and organizations, and smaller amounts from events and merchandise sales.
